Teaching right from wrong has never been easy.
In Dominica today, it comes with new pressure.
• more screens and online noise
• more idle time after school
• more exposure to alcohol, fights and drama
You want your child to be respectful, focused and strong inside.
But you cannot watch them every minute, and you are tired of repeating yourself.
NIFA was created to stand next to you. not above you.
We give your child a clear coach, clear rules, and a place where discipline is normal.
So you do not have to carry everything alone.
Your child learns to breathe, listen and respond even when the drill is hard or contact is real. This is self-control in action, not just a lecture.
Bowing in. lining up. waiting for their turn. answering “Oss” or “Yes Coach”.. these habits follow them back to home and classroom.
Trying a new drill. sparring for the first time. testing for a new level. They learn to act even when they are scared.
In a world of distraction, 45–60 minutes without a phone is already training. They learn to finish what they start.

After school many children in Dominica have no structured activity.
Hours disappear between streets, phones and influences you do not control.
Without a clear frame.
• bad habits form fast
• respect becomes “optional”
• stress and anger often come out as fights or shutdowns
A serious martial arts academy reverses that gravity.
Your child knows. “On these days. I train. There is a coach. There are rules.”
You cannot control the whole island.
But you can choose one place where your child is pushed to be better, every week.
Clear expectations, consistent consequences and a coach who means what he says.
Parents often report:
• fewer fights at home
• better listening
• more respect for rules
From shy and closed to upright and present. Regular training improves posture, eye contact and the way your child moves in the world.
Fixed training days give structure to the week. Less time lost in random liming and screens. more time in constructive effort and recovery.
• Discipline first, ego zero. We are not here to make your child feel “famous”. We are here to make them reliable, respectful and strong.
• Serious about safety. Clear contact rules, controlled drills, progressive contact. We build courage without reckless brawling.
• Small groups, real coaching. Limited numbers so coaches can actually see and correct your child, not just shout from far.
• Family structure, not just drop-off. Parents are involved through clear rules, communication and our Founding Family framework.
• Rooted in Dominica, open to the world. We respect local reality and use global best practices from combat sports and youth development.
Talk directly with the Head Coach. We listen to your situation, your values, and your child’s needs. Every child is different. This call helps us confirm fit and recommend the right path.
Before training starts, we guide you through the mandatory medical steps. health check, doctor’s approval, and any required authorizations. Safety first. always.
Once cleared, your child joins the appropriate group and begins structured training with clear rules and progression. Youth membership only, or full NIFA Founding Family if you want the whole household inside the structure.
When you see the difference real structure makes for one child, a question quickly appears.
“What about the rest of the house.”
That is why we created NIFA Founding Family.
A format for households that want.
• children to have a framework after school
• adults to have a place for reset and discipline
• “we train at NIFA” to become a family identity, not just an isolated activity
Founding Family is our way of tying your love for your children, for Dominica, and for your own health into one clear decision for the next 12 months.
Bullets
As a Founding Family, you.
• anchor your child’s training across the full year
• commit to your own discipline as an adult
• place your family among the first households to carry the NIFA standard in Dominica
We build contact step by step. Beginners start with basics, pads and control. There is no free-for-all fighting. As coaches, our first job is safety and respect. If a child refuses to follow safety rules, they sit out.
That is exactly the type of child who benefits. Classes are mixed level, but drills are scaled. We do not expect them to be “brave” on day one. We expect them to show up and try. The rest comes with time.
No. We see the opposite when discipline is consistent. Children learn when aggression is allowed (on the mat, under rules) and when it is not (school, home, public). That clear line reduces random outbursts.
Yes, as long as Founding spots remain. Many parents begin with one child, then realise they want the whole house under the same roof and upgrade while places are still open.
Parents often ask us something else.
After a few weeks, many parents realize something.
Their child benefits from structure. but the home still feels stressed.
Some parents choose to train as well.
